GRADE 316 STAINLESS STEEL
Grade 316 is the 2nd most popular austenitic stainless steel, offering similar mechanical properties to grade 304, with greater corrosion resistance. With its improved resistance to pitting from chlorides, it is often used in marine environments and industrial applications where greater protection against corrosion is required. Available as 316, 316H, as well as 316L, our material conforms to ASTM A 240 and is processed in accordance with ASTM A 480. Additional info on our grade 316 sheet and plate is available in our Stainless Steel Technical Information section. View Table
GRADE 304 STAINLESS STEEL
Grade 304 is one of the more popular grades of austenitic stainless steel. It has good formability, weld-ability and corrosion resistance. This material is predominantly found in the food and beverage industry, often used for storage and processing tanks, as well as pipes & tube to convey liquids throughout the production process. Grade 304 is also popular in the catering, architectural and mining sectors. Available as 304L, 304 H, to meet stringent requirements. Additional information is available in our Stainless Steel Technical Information section. Columbus offer grade 304 flat products in sheet, coil, strip and plate format. View Table
